I am not wrong.”He added: “The first half was boring for us, the second half much better, we scored a goal and had chances to score, but then at the end they deserved to win. They made two goals, had another great chance and well done to them.”I am very disappointed, if we played as well as we play in the training session, we win the match. I don’t know what happened for these guys.”

And Lotito has revealed he knocked back a huge offer for the 23-year-old.”The interest of myself and those who run the club is to make a strong and winning team, to reinforce it and not weaken it,” Lotito said.”If I had another mentality, I would have sold Milinkovic for 160 million but I did not do it. ATLANTA – JANUARY 09: Cheerleaders of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets run around with flags before the game against the Duke Blue Devils at Alexander Memorial Coliseum on January 9, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)There is a run on student half-court shot contest wins today. Earlier, a Virginia student nailed a shot to win $18,000. Now, Georgia Tech student Caleb Espy drilled a half-court shot on his first try to win free Domino’s pizza for a year. “Espy” is a pretty apt name for someone with a shot that impressive. We would probably opt for the $18,000 if we had the choice between the two prizes, but free pizza whenever you want is a pretty valuable prize for a college student.

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has opened up on his nightmare loan spell at Arsenal, claiming he was not “even at 50%” of his full capacity. The 25-year-old signed for the Gunners on a sixth-month loan back in January, but only managed to appear six times in total across all competitions. The Spanish playmaker suffered with a persistent pelvic injury throughout his time in the Premier League, which left him reduced to a bit-part role under Unai Emery. Suarez is due to return to Barca this summer and has two years remaining on his contract with the Spanish champions, but has already expressed a desire to leave in search of regular football.Reflecting on his short time with Arsenal, the Blaugrana misfit pinpoints a knock suffered in his second game for the club during a Europa League clash against BATE Borisov as a decisive moment.Suarez told Cadena Ser: “At the end of the game I thought that I had torn my groin and they did a scan and saw that I had an oedema [a build-up of fluid] on the bone in my pelvis.“I thought I had torn something; I was in a lot of pain. And from then on I carried on training with medication and putting up with it as best I could but I didn’t feel right and [Unai] Emery didn’t think I was right.”I wasn’t comfortable. I don’t think I was even at 50%. After 15 days of being at Arsenal, I wasn’t right. From the 16th I wasn’t even at 50%.”He went on to hint that a hectic schedule played its part in his fitness woes in the days after his arrival in London, adding: “When I went to Arsenal, I remember that I got there on a Thursday.”That Sunday I played against Manchester City. Then we had a break because of the FA Cup. Emery gave us some days off that weekend, [but] I stayed to train.”On Thursday at Bate Borisov, I played.”A year Suarez describes as one “to forget” began at Camp Nou, where he only managed eight appearances for Barca between August and January amid more niggling injuries. He has not been disheartened by a testing period in his career, however, resolving to pick himself up quickly and learn from his mistakes.“But I take some positives from it,” Suarez said. “It’s something to learn from, to take better decisions in the future, prevent injuries, and to improve.” Check out Goal’s Premier League 2019-20 fantasy football podcast for game tips, debate and rivalries.
Netherlands legend Ruud Gullit believes Manchester United will miss out on signing Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt due to lack of Champions League football. The centre-back enjoyed a stellar season for club and country, captaining Ajax to the Champions League semi-final while also starting for a Netherlands side that made the UEFA Nations League final.De Ligt is expected to depart the Champions League semi-finalists this summer with Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain mooted as suitors. Editors’ Picks ‘There is no creativity’ – Can Solskjaer get Man Utd scoring freely again? ‘Everyone legged it on to the pitch!’ – How Foden went from Man City superfan to future superstar Emery out of jail – for now – as brilliant Pepe papers over Arsenal’s cracks What is Manchester United’s ownership situation and how would Kevin Glazer’s sale of shares affect the club? Barca have often been seen as front-runners, having already signed De Ligt’s team-mate at Ajax and the Netherlands, Frenkie de Jong, prior to the end of the season. However, it has been reported United have aimed to convince the centre-back to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s project at Old Trafford. But while Barca and PSG can boast the chance to play in Europe’s top continental club competition, Manchester United find themselves in the Europa League after a sixth place finish in the Premier League last season. And that lack of Champions League football next season is something the former Chelsea man Gullit thinks will keep De Ligt from joining the Red Devils this summer.“I don’t think it’ll be Manchester United, they don’t play in the Champions League,” Gullit told Omnisport when asked where De Ligt will sign.“I think he wants to play in the Champions League, so that’s unfortunate for Manchester United.”Even if he chooses against United, De Ligt should have plenty of options this summer after his standout performances for Ajax and the Netherlands. However, it’s possible some potential suitors may find their efforts hamstrung by a big transfer fee and salary demands, while one or two other clubs are unable to participate due to looming tranfer bans.Still, Gullit hopes the 19-year-old finds the right situation for himself this summer.“It’s going to be difficult [for a lot of teams], a lot of them [big teams] might have UEFA [transfer] bans, so there’s a lot that’s going on still,” Gullit said.“So I hope he makes the right decision for himself.”
Patrick Cutrone should leave AC Milan in order to improve himself as a player, according to former San Siro striker Alberto Gilardino.Italy Under-21 forward Cutrone, thought to be valued at €25 million (£22m/$28m) by Milan, scored for his country at the U21 European Championship against Belgium on Saturday, rekindling speculation about his future at club level. The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from clubs in La Liga and the Bundesliga in January according to his agent, and Gilardino told Gazzetta dello Sport that he should seek more regular first-team opportunities elsewhere after making just 12 starts for Milan last season.
